Chief Operating Officer and Director

Mr Horton has 30 years experience in the E&P industry and has lived and worked in Korea, China, Papua New Guinea, Brazil, Venezuela, Texas, Alaska and the UK. In his 27 years in BP, Mr Horton trained as a drilling engineer and held leadership positions in drilling and well operations, asset management, technology development, HSE management and business support at the corporate level.

Since leaving BP in 2003, Mr Horton participated in several service company leveraged buy-out projects and acted as an executive and non executive director. He is a founder member of Silverstone Energy Limited and set up the business in the UK in 2005.

Mr Horton is a Chartered Engineer with degrees in mining engineering and business management.
